Meet Waveney

Having a nature of gratitude has always been easy for me, I cannot ever 

remember a time when I had looked over my life and not felt thankful for something. I am aware that God has always provided for me, no matter what the situation – he has always showed up. He gave me real insight into my life situations, and I really take no thought as to where my help will come from, he is my provider, my constant strength as I raised my family single handedly, praying for guidance and wisdom every day.

I grew up within a loving family, with a support network which included 

both my parents, my sister, untold cousins and my maternal grandmother. 

​

Although I had the support I felt alone and this feeling always plagued 

me, through every area of my life, I did not recognise the root, but I was 

conscious enough to realise something was not right. 

​

Turning point

I was 60 years old when I became aware of the fact I was and had been 

suffering from abandonment, and it started at birth. I was premature, and there the root began. 60, yes that is long time to not be able 

to accept love, and compliments, much less not be able to trust fully 

and openly.

 

God began really spoke to me, and I started the healing journey of self-love from the trauma which stemmed from my childhood. 

 

I now walk in love, freely able to accept compliments and my countenance has changed. I no longer recognise my old self, I am glowing and my confidence is way up. This is my 63rd year, and I decided that from now on my answer will be "yes" to life, and wake up with gratitude every day.

 

I take my time to study and meditate on God’s word in order to feed my mind and spirit. Having a year of "yes" has transformed me, and fear is no longer in my vocabulary.

God taught me to trust His process and He is forging me through fire. I intend to lead by example and encourage others who may feel like they are alone.  My desire is to show others to forgive not just others but also themselves, as I have learnt that when God shows up fear no longer has a hold over you.

 

I have recognised a lot of women feel stagnant, but I hope to encourage them to feel the fear and pursue their dreams anyway!  I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead, and look forward to you joining me on the exhilarating journey of stepping into the process and trusting God’s plan.
